1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account information: Name, email address, and profile picture (via Google OAuth).
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, generation history, and copy items saved to your library.
Uploaded content: screenshots, images, PDF files and Figma URLs you submit for copy generation.
Billing data: Payment information processed securely by our payment provider. We do not store card numbers.
Log data: IP address, browser type, referring pages, and timestamps.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
Personalise AI-generated copy to your brand voice and project settings.
Process payments and manage your subscription.
Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, billing receipts).
Respond to support requests and communicate about the Service.
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

Service providers: Hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics, bound by confidentiality agreements.
AI provider: Content you submit for generation is processed by Anthropic's Claude API under their data-processing terms.
Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

4. Data Retention

We keep your account information, projects and generated copy for as long as your account is open, on every plan.

Uploaded screens are removed 60 days after upload. This applies on every plan, including paid ones. The copy generated from a screen is kept; the screen itself and its page images are deleted. If you need one after that, upload it again.

To close your account, email us at privacy@microkopy.com and we will action it. The Delete account button in Account Settings points you here; it does not delete the account on its own. When we close an account we cancel any active subscription with the payment provider, remove your name, email and profile picture immediately, and delete your projects, generated copy and uploaded files after a 30-day grace period, in case the request was a mistake.

Payment and invoice records outlive the account. We are required to keep them, and they hold the amount, date and provider reference rather than anything you generated.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect Service functionality.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and JWT-based authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Request deletion of your data.
Export your data in a portable format.
Opt out of certain processing activities.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
